I just wanted to say that we had a great time, everything worked out perfectly and Edy was a great guide. We saw long tailed macaques all the time (of course!) but also pig tailed macaques twice, gibbons twice, thomas leaf monkeys a few different times and orang utans three times (different animals each time). Not to mention all manner of creepy crawlies. In fact it felt like we never went more that ten minutes without finding something.
Anyway, just wanted to let you know that everything was smashing. In fact I couldn't really enjoy the second half of our trip in Bali because my head was still stuck in the jungle. Oh well!

At the beginning of February you were able to hastily arrange a tour for me and my mate to Bukit Lawang and Tangkahan. I want to take this opportunity to tell you that we had a wonderful time.
This trip was made so easy by our guide, Amri. He was able to effectively talk to us in English and chat away endlessly to my friend who is Indonesian. His knowledge of the people and animals and the businesses of the area was fantastic. In addition, I am 63 years old and not in the peak of physical fitness but whatever we did Amri made sure I was looked after. He is an asset to your tours.

This is just a quick hello from back in Australia since yesterday.
We had an incredibly wonderful trip together, us three old girls. And the absolute highlight, you guessed it, was our all too short 3-day stay at Bukit Lawang and Tangkahan, with Adi and Murad, Anto and the lady cook.
As Australians, we are a bit loud but very compassionate and appreciated every minute with Adi and his dedication to being our expert and caring guide.
A big big thankyou Clare and to your husband for running such a great outdoor adventure in the Sumatran jungle. We will highly recommend it to our friends, young and old.

I just wanted to let you know that I had the most amazing time on my 9 day trek last week. Being in the jungle for that long camping next to beautiful rivers and looking for all the animals was one of the most incredible experiences of my life.
The guide Selamat was knowlegeable, funny, friendly, and very aware of our limitations! The rest of the team were great as well. They really went out of their way to look after me as I was the only girl. And I enjoyed spending time with them and getting to know them in the evenings when they taught us magic tricks and told jokes.
I especially enjoyed the food. Even lunch up in the jungle was delicious, and the fruit they picked for us was a revelation!
Also, the white water rafting at the end was so much fun! I would (and have already!) recommend your tours to anyone. I now consider Selamat to be a good friend, and am already thinking about going back.

I just got back home from an amazing month in Asia. I wanted to let you know that my experience in Sumatra with Jungle Expeditions was one of the best, if not the best, adventure of my life (and I've had many adventures).
The group of locals that work for JE are one amazing group of individuals. The most pleasant surprise was to get to know the people of Sumatra who I found were amazingly friendly and open. I made many friends and consider Edy a friend for life. Your group was really well organized and very professional.
I have no words to describe my respect and admiration for the guys who went in the 6 day trek with us. Edy and his group (Leng, Rido, Uta, Sugi, and Iwan) were an amazing group of young men that would work 24hrsil to make sure we were taken care of in all respects. We felt safe and comfortable at all times. The food was delicious, and we had everything we needed and more! They worked really hard, I was very impressed by their skills, cordiality, and energy.

My mom enjoyed it a lot. Specifically she likes the BBQ chicken your team prepared at the Landak river. Also, she enjoyed a lot the journey of bat cave and Gunung Sibayak, Both Selamat and Erwin have been of good help and have ensure our safety along the way. Erwin was also very helpful taking photo of us, when we were so exhausted with the trekking. Both of them have been so humorous and introduced to my mom lots of herbs and plants along the way.

Expedition Jungle. One of the best trips I have been on. We did Bukit Lawang and Tangkahan both great. Our guide Murad was excellent about the best I have been with. (I have seen 10 countries and had 7 guides ). Expedition Jungle made everything a breeze, it was a real pleasure not having to worry about anything, communication was excellent and all questions answered and they were pleased to help in any way possible.
I recommend this trip and Expedition Jungle as one of the best tourist operators anywhere.

Just to let you know that we had a brilliant time in Sumatra. Felix was great fun and looked after us really well. We survived the jungle trek and were even lucky enough to see a mother Orang Utan and her baby. I'm glad you suggested the overnight camp as that was really the icing on the cake.
We decided to tube back in the end, so Pendy's two sons valiantly set off early to collect the tubes. Good decision, as we definately wouldn't have made the trek back again! We were really impressed with both of the places we stayed in and had some delicious meals.
